OUR MISSION & VISION
PROMOTE INCLUSION
We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ golfers and allies, fostering a sense of belonging in the sport while raising funds for LGBTQ+ athletes.
EMBRACE DIVERSITY
The World Pride Championship welcomes all golfers and their allies, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, or skill level.
CULTIVATE CULTURE
The World Pride Championship brings together LGBTQ+ golfers, PGA/LPGA Professionals, and allies to discuss and promote inclusive practices within golf and sports.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Since 2008 Team DC has given 106 students more than $200,000 in direct financial support.
Team DC College Scholarships are given annually to openly LGBTQ student-athletes from high schools in the greater Washington, DC region.

HOLES ON HEELS
Holes on Heels works to raise funds to benefit The Trevor Project.
Through charity events and fundraisers, over $30,000 has been raised toward supporting LGBTQ+ young people. Holes on Heels will be on-site at the World Pride Capital Cup Golf Championship!

2025 marks the 50th Anniversary of Pride celebrations in Washington, DC! The Capital Pride Alliance is excited for Washington, DC to host WorldPride 2025 and share this momentous and exciting milestone with our international community.

Team DC encourages and supports involvement in team and individual sports within the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) and broader community in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Team DC strives to promote excellence, integrity, and good sporting conduct in individual and team sports.
